Week 15

April 16th - A cold, wet day today and I've been forced to use the dryer for the first time this year. I'm already missing the warm days of summer!

April 15th - Ella gave me this painting for her first Christmas and it proudly hangs on my wall!

April 14th - My tree fern looks wonderful right now, so healthy and green. Nature is so determined isn't it!

April 13th - An amazingly beautiful day today and we were lucky enough to be invited to go to the Botanical Gardens. I think the rest of Melbourne were there also ... but who could blame them!

April 12th - We headed to the Valley for a birthday celebration. 88 years old ... well done Dad! It's great to see him so fit and well!

April 11th - After a day of scrapping at my local SBS, Rob and I headed to the MCG to see our beloved Bombers ... and the best thing was they won! Haven't seen them do that for a while!

April 10th - Juice is so important in our diet but lately we have been pressed for time and we have not made any up ... until today! Yes, and I love it!

April 9th - Hit the gym today, "Fatburner Class'. This one really works the whole body from the legs to the shoulders and requires alot of concentration in the step routines.

Week 14

April 8th - A very interesting and hilarious show - Puppetry of the Penis. How they contort their 'bits' is a feat on its own. I'd guess it would make some of the males in the audience squirm!

April 7th - Gym today followed by a yummy chai latte at the cafe in the Business park where the gym is located. And they do make the best chai lattes!

April 6th - My iPhone ... I thought it was all hype and I didn't really want it initially but now I am lost without it ... I mean how could I find my way around town or check up the footy scores, let alone keep in contact with my friends!

April 5th - After a big weekend, Rob and I stopped on the way home at The Rosstown Hotel for tea. By the time I took the photo, the crowd had dispersed, but when we arrived it was very busy and very noisy!

April 4th - We headed out for lunch during the seminar and ended up in a nearby suburb - Newmarket. Strolling down the street we found this cafe with laminate tables and vinyl chairs. Blasts from the past!

April 3rd - Walking out of our seminar venue, I could hear lots of noise coming from one of the trees in the grounds. When I walked over to the tree, I found about 30 King Parrots busily (and noisily) eating. They were well hidden!

April 2nd - We always have a large basket of fresh fruit on our bench top. We normally juice most of it ... but we've been a bit slack lately!

Week 13

April 1st - A quiet April Fool's Day. Very warm outside! Hoppy has been visiting me nearly every day ... at least twice a day ... for her mince meat. The grass has gotten so long you can't see her legs! Luckily it's being mowed tomorrow!

March 31st - I love this beautiful stone statue given to me by Grace for Christmas a few years ago. She sits in my workroom, actually holding a door open, and is so serene to look at.

March 30th - Here is my little garden duck - it's actually a decoy duck that was given to me a few years ago (and no, we don't do duck hunting!). I was doing a website for the owners of the business. I have three in my garden - very easy to keep - no feeding or cleaning up!

March 29th - Rob and I drove to Marysville today - the road into the town was blocked so we went the back way, over the mountain to Warburton. What an amazing experience! The burnt out country was eerie and quiet - not a bird to be seen or heard. It's so heartening to see the sprouts of green from the bracken fern and on some of the trees.

March 28th - My day in heaven! 13 hours of scrapping! Scrapbook Scene had a charity day for the Bushfire victims. It was a busy church hall with lots of chattering and laughing and scrapping! I got 4 layouts done - that's what happens when I am organised!

March 27th - Had a lovely relaxing lunch at a new little cafe bar called Junto. Our group of gym friends meets socially every now and then when we catch up with some of the ladies who have left the gym for one reason or other.

March 26th - Our baby has gotten herself a part-time job at Subway (I keep calling it Safeway!). This will be a test of her commitment and focus! Hope she passes!

Week 12

Mar 25th - We've had some wonderful rain lately and everything has 'greened' up so quickly. The grass was cut 6 days ago and look at it now! It is fast grass!

Mar 24th - I love reading - it is my next favourite after scrapbooking. Here are some of the books I have in my bedroom - most I have finished, the rest are awaiting my attention.

Mar 23rd - Gypsy usually disappears during the day and tends to come in at night for a pat and to sleep on the end of our bed! Tonight she was sitting outside just watching ... her eyes are interesting with the flash.

Mar 22nd - After spending most of the day sorting out paperwork, I finally had some very organised files and my office is looking very tidy. I've decided that I need to 'be tidy' and clean up after me and I will gain more time in the long run!

Mar 21st - Boy our weather changes! Only last Saturday we were washed out but this Saturday, the sun is really hot and the wind is just what we need to get the washing dried in no time!

Mar 20th - Rob & I saw 'The Reader' at Cinema Europa followed by dinner at TGI Friday ... of course there is nothing to top off a lovely night together than to wash the car on the way home! very romantic!

Mar 19th - What a wonderful surprise I got this morning! Our poor tree fern really suffered after the February heatwave and I thought we may have lost it - but, with the aid of a regular drink of shower water, here it is, truly blooming! The downpour over the weekend must have been the trigger for it to 'pop out'.

Week 11

Mar 18th - The clock says it all - I am notoriously bad at getting to bed early! Even when I start to get ready for bed at 10.30, I always end up not tucking myself in till closer to midnight - just as well i don't turn into a pumpkin!

Mar 17th - While Grace was at Reach, I got the chance to catch up with my 'boy'. We had dinner on Victoria Street at a quaint little Thai restaurant (I love Thai food). Very tasty - one of the dishes we had was minced pork and preserved eggs ( a greeny brown colour!) - an unusual texture but tasted okay.

Mar 15th - This is my Angel that sits on my bedside table - a present from my beautiful girls who felt I needed some love and care when I was feeling stressed and down. I love her!

Mar 15th - Rob spent all weekend at his workshop (had a lovely time doing my own thing!) When he came home Sunday night he wanted to go out for dinner so we headed to The Sandbelt - a local pub with usually a good meal.

Mar 14th - Finally we have rain! And buckets of it! Netball was washed out this morning - the sky opened just as we were about to get in the car but we still had to go to the courts to sign on so that we could then leave! Bit silly eh! The sky gets black and the rain comes - it's still quite warm though.

Mar 13th - Southland - unfortunately (or fortunately) sometimes it is easier to go to the shopping centre because I can get a few jobs done and different purchases at once. Not really my favourite place though - even though others may disagree!

Mar 12th - I do love the Oreo McFlurry, especially when there are lots of crushed Oreos in it! Just a little dessert treat after a night in Victoria Street with business friends.

Week 10

Mar 11th - Thought I'd better get our accounts into some decent shape - it doesn't pay to leave them to pile up does it! But, there is a feeling of accomplishment when it's all completed! So how do you eat an elephant? One step at a time! That's my goal!

Mar 10th - My first visit to the hairdresser since 2009! I usually leave it to Deb to create what she wants with my hair (hasn't always been a good decision!). This time I've gone darker again, I was so getting used to the summer blonde too!

Mar 9th - Labour Day holiday, a sleep in and then a late lunch with friends in Lygon Street. All finished off with a beautiful gelato - I so love the Lemon gelato best! Lygon Street was very busy today, lots of diners and wanderers.

Mar 8th - A 40th birthday party for a very special woman! Lots of Greek food (heaps actually), copious drink and never ending music (and dancing in circles) - what a celebration!

Mar 7th - I actually got some Scrapbooking done - even finishing a layout I started at a Beginners Class 3 years ago. I also managed to complete a couple of others also! Such a good girl - even got to have coffee with friends after dinner.

Mar 6th - We travelled to Narre Warren for dinner and family catch-up - two beautiful little babies, a cute 2 year old and us 'oldies'. We also had the unexpected surprise of an earth tremor on the side!

Mar 5th - My favourite chocolate place - Koko Black - the hot chocolates are just the best - rich and creamy and very filling! The chocolates are scrumptious too! Not somewhere to go to too often - not very kind to the waistline!

Week 9

Mar 4th - We attended a Rotary Meeting tonight with a presentation from a group of Argentinian nationals - not as boring as I thought it would be. I learnt quite a bit about the country my grandmother was born in. Best part is that they were presented with Essendon paraphanalia! Go Bombers!

Mar 3rd - Yesterday I received this text message on my mobile phone - apparently this is the newest technological innovation our emergency services are using. After the confusion of the Black Saturday bushfires, we are now going to receive these kinds of text messages whenever there is a high chance of an emergency in our state. But luckily, today was not as extreme as predicted.

Mar 2nd - Boxing Circuit today - a new instructor (our other one is on his way up the Queensland coast) and I was stuffed! Lots of punching, push-ups, squats, star jumps (I cheated) and bike riding. Thank goodness I wasn't the only one who found it hard!

Mar 1st - A bleak start to Autumn - pottering around near home doing pickups, drop offs and some shopping.

Feb 28th - Saturday night with Jen & Max - what better way than to sit at MaxCafe Restaurant in Hardware Lane (Melb CBD) eating fresh oysters while listening to the beautiful music from a very talented guitarist.

Feb 27th - The skies looked very grim and grey but it was all in vain because we have still not got any rain. Oh I'd love a cool, moist and wet garden.

Feb 26th - This box is from my past life as a Folk Artist. I've gotten rid of alot of my creations but I do love the vibrance of this box. It holds greeting cards that are special to me.
