Week 16

April 22nd - There is a definite chill in the air, especially in the mornings and I needed to put the little heater on today to warm things up! Winter's coming!

April 21st - I love these native violets that continually find the smallest crack in the steps to emerge from. The recent rain supported them to creep out.

April 20th - Oh dear ... last year's knitting just waiting for the cold weather, to be revived ... hopefully! But who knows!

April 19th - I have my ribbons (most of them) stored on a trouser rack on the door. Looks so colourful I'm almost reluctant to use them!

April 18th - We actually got to Marysville and were in awe of the devastation we saw. This sculpture, at Bruno's Garden, summed it up with their forlorn looks.

April 17th - We took Dad to Victoria Street for a Vietnamese meal, after dropping Grace at Reach, but ended up at a cute pub-restaurant instead. Yummy meal!

Week 15

April 16th - A cold, wet day today and I've been forced to use the dryer for the first time this year. I'm already missing the warm days of summer!

April 15th - Ella gave me this painting for her first Christmas and it proudly hangs on my wall!

April 14th - My tree fern looks wonderful right now, so healthy and green. Nature is so determined isn't it!

April 13th - An amazingly beautiful day today and we were lucky enough to be invited to go to the Botanical Gardens. I think the rest of Melbourne were there also ... but who could blame them!

April 12th - We headed to the Valley for a birthday celebration. 88 years old ... well done Dad! It's great to see him so fit and well!

April 11th - After a day of scrapping at my local SBS, Rob and I headed to the MCG to see our beloved Bombers ... and the best thing was they won! Haven't seen them do that for a while!

April 10th - Juice is so important in our diet but lately we have been pressed for time and we have not made any up ... until today! Yes, and I love it!

April 9th - Hit the gym today, "Fatburner Class'. This one really works the whole body from the legs to the shoulders and requires alot of concentration in the step routines.

Week 14

April 8th - A very interesting and hilarious show - Puppetry of the Penis. How they contort their 'bits' is a feat on its own. I'd guess it would make some of the males in the audience squirm!

April 7th - Gym today followed by a yummy chai latte at the cafe in the Business park where the gym is located. And they do make the best chai lattes!

April 6th - My iPhone ... I thought it was all hype and I didn't really want it initially but now I am lost without it ... I mean how could I find my way around town or check up the footy scores, let alone keep in contact with my friends!

April 5th - After a big weekend, Rob and I stopped on the way home at The Rosstown Hotel for tea. By the time I took the photo, the crowd had dispersed, but when we arrived it was very busy and very noisy!

April 4th - We headed out for lunch during the seminar and ended up in a nearby suburb - Newmarket. Strolling down the street we found this cafe with laminate tables and vinyl chairs. Blasts from the past!

April 3rd - Walking out of our seminar venue, I could hear lots of noise coming from one of the trees in the grounds. When I walked over to the tree, I found about 30 King Parrots busily (and noisily) eating. They were well hidden!

April 2nd - We always have a large basket of fresh fruit on our bench top. We normally juice most of it ... but we've been a bit slack lately!

Week 13

April 1st - A quiet April Fool's Day. Very warm outside! Hoppy has been visiting me nearly every day ... at least twice a day ... for her mince meat. The grass has gotten so long you can't see her legs! Luckily it's being mowed tomorrow!

March 31st - I love this beautiful stone statue given to me by Grace for Christmas a few years ago. She sits in my workroom, actually holding a door open, and is so serene to look at.

March 30th - Here is my little garden duck - it's actually a decoy duck that was given to me a few years ago (and no, we don't do duck hunting!). I was doing a website for the owners of the business. I have three in my garden - very easy to keep - no feeding or cleaning up!

March 29th - Rob and I drove to Marysville today - the road into the town was blocked so we went the back way, over the mountain to Warburton. What an amazing experience! The burnt out country was eerie and quiet - not a bird to be seen or heard. It's so heartening to see the sprouts of green from the bracken fern and on some of the trees.

March 28th - My day in heaven! 13 hours of scrapping! Scrapbook Scene had a charity day for the Bushfire victims. It was a busy church hall with lots of chattering and laughing and scrapping! I got 4 layouts done - that's what happens when I am organised!

March 27th - Had a lovely relaxing lunch at a new little cafe bar called Junto. Our group of gym friends meets socially every now and then when we catch up with some of the ladies who have left the gym for one reason or other.

March 26th - Our baby has gotten herself a part-time job at Subway (I keep calling it Safeway!). This will be a test of her commitment and focus! Hope she passes!
