Week 39

September 30th - Going to the gym is made more challenging when I am up against a computer. The Curves Smart program keeps results on a computer and each workout is compared to the my previous ones and the resistance is adjusted accordingly.

September 29th - getting ready for my niece's wedding in February. I'm making the invitations etc and it will be lovely to get my hands crafting again. Now I just need to source the products to make them.

September 28th - Oh it's so nice to have really soaking rains in Melbourne and around the catchment areas! The house needs alot of TLC and the guttering is one area that really requires alot of maintenance. This waterfall greeted us at our front door.

September 27th - OMG! Three months away till the big man in the red suit arrives and the christmas things are already in the stores! It is unbelievable! Commercialism is too pushy! Glad I don't have little ones who don't understand that it's still 90 sleeps away!

September 26th - I cheated here! I didn't take this photo! But I thought it was a great one as it shows the exhiliration of geelong having won this year's Australian Football League, Grand Final. It was such a good game to watch - nail biting to the end! But, I'll be lost without any more footy for this year!

September 25th - A while ago I found this lace in a craft outlet - I wanted some for my vintage layouts and I thought 99c a metre was very cheap. When I got to the counter, the assistant told me it was 99c per roll, so i got greedy and bought 4 rolls - three are photographed here. Now I've got heaps for other projects.

September 24th - Sophie was so excited to see the dinosaurs at the 'Newseum' as the girls call it! She squealed with delight and oohed and aahed at it all. When I said I'd take a photo, she just went coy! Sooo cute!

Week 38

September 23rd - My two little angels were exhausted after spending three fun-filled days with their aunt and uncle and I couldn't resist taking this photo of them sound asleep. Soooo gorgeous!

September 22nd - As part of my healthy choice of food, I bought myself a blender to make some yummy juices and smoothies. Should be good over summer too!

September 21st - After my chimes were vandalised by some teenage idiot, I finally found a beautiful metal chime that is now hanging outside our family room. I can hear it when I'm in bed at night and it's lovely and soothing!

September 20th - There comes a time when I can't stand a cluttered, disorganised mess so with my nose to the job I finally got rid of a heap of unwanted 'stuff' from my office. The only thing I dislike is the bigger mess I make before it finally get things in order - ah well, it's done now.

September 19th - The juice cleanse has had an added benefit of helping me shed some unwanted weight that i have had difficulty moving - even with all my gym work it didn't seem to want to go away. Now I have loose clothing and my muffin top is almost diminished!

September 18th - It appears that the thing in shopping is a super store! Bunnings is a hardware store that is gigantic and even my female friends don't mind going shopping (strolling) inside! Hope the men don't mind.

September 17th - While I was unwell, I struggled to eat anything and when I did it created so much coughing it wasn't worth it so I decided that this was a good time to do a juice cleanse. This beautiful juice has been my sole food for the past 16 days - just as well I like it!

Week 37

September 16th - This is a very special present from my beautiful grand-daughters and it take pride of place in my bedroom. It's just such a lovely reminder for me every time I look at it!

September 15th - My old dresser that has travelled with me for quite a few years. It is in my craft room/office right now and it is serving a very good purpose.

September 14th - I don't like 'normal' glasses cases so I bought this one at a craft market in Sydney. I think it's cute and it fits and protects my glasses well! Also slots into my bag easily.

September 13th - I have been reading this book but am having some difficulty with it ... the style is not the type I enjoy (or relax with) but there are parts that seem to 'pop' out to me. I just want to finish it to see if it makes sense!

PS Happy Birthday Chris!

September 12th - Running one of our seminars and this is the view out of one of the windows. It was actually 29 degrees outside today but we didn't get to experience it as we were inside for most of the day.

September 11th - What would we do without our electricity! It is such a convenience and I know when we lost the connection for 3 days last year it was such a shock (pardon the pun) to realise how much we rely on it.

September 10th - My cold toes take alot to get warm at night so I have been using this hot water bottle to get them warm ... and it really works!

Week 36

September 9th - We've been getting a bit of rain but our water supply is still down from last year's levels. It's quite frustrating really. If only we could catch th rain wherever it falls and funnel it to where it's needed!

September 8th - getting our files systemised and I just adore the colourful lever arch and presentation folders that can be bought now. I'm missing the orange one though.

September 7th - The Diosma bush near our front door is amassed with blossoms. They are such a delicate pink and they have the most beautiful perfume.

September 6th - Not really making much use of this bottle for the gym (haven't been for the past week) but I am keeping up my fluids to flush the infection out of me. It's made of a special plastic that doesn't leech toxins into the water.

September 5th - How blessed am I! My wonderful husband presented me with this bunch of magnificent tulips today. These are the most beautiful colour! brought a tear to my eyes!

September 4th - These strawberries are early season - apparently the higher temperatures in Queensland are producing abundant, pre-season crops. They are the most vivid red. Pity I'm not eating!

September 3rd - A box of Aloe Vera tissues is my trusty companion right now. So much coughing, sneezing and blowing. I feel like a tap and my head hurts every time I cough. My body is aching and my throat is raw. I just want to sleep!

Week 35

September 2nd - I know, I've photographed the blossoms but I couldn't help but be in awe of the profues pink flowers that are massed on our old tree. There may be no fruit but the Spring blossoms are worth looking at!

September 1st - First day of Spring and we were met with a glorious day. The air feels very different once the mind believes the warm weather is on its way!

August 31st - I went to turn on our kitchen tap at lunchtime but nothing came out ... had we forgotten to pay the bill? No, a fire hydrant had 'erupted' a street away from us. We survived without water for about 3 hours ... made me realise how precious it is though.

August 30th - I like to look at our Happy Buddha 'cos he's always happy! It would be so wonderful to be perpetually in a state of happy bliss with not a care in the world. Keep working on it ...

August 29th - Rob & I decided to head to the MCG as we thought it may be the last time we see our beloved Bombers this year. It was a bit chilly but the game was entertaining and up and down all day... but ... WE WON! Yay! Worth the trip!

August 28th - A Rotary night out, even though Rob wasn't feeling too hot - the 2 Brothers Brewery was buzzing and we were put up on the stage with the entertaiment for the night! Pizzas were yummy!

August 27th - Getting Grace some shoes and saw these cute polka dot thongs - couldn't resist them for my summer wardrobe!
